The IAF is available for physicians providing necessary medical services in eligible RSA communities with fewer than four (4) physicians and no hospital, and who do not receive Medical On-call Availability Program (MOCAP), Call-Back or Doctor of the Day payments.
The Program:
- The total community payment is split among the physicians providing coverage by the community.
- Calculations are completed on an annual basis and payments are disbursed semi-annually.
- In 2008, the payments ranged from $12,778 to $114,408 per community, based upon the number of physicians in the community and point values.
