The small, friendly community of Valemount is located in the Rocky Mountain Trench at the head of the North Thompson Valley in north eastern British Columbia. At the heart of mountain country amidst three picturesque mountain ranges, it is 34 kms from Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies and origin of the mighty Fraser River. Historically, Valemount was a logging community. Today, it is fast becoming part of British Columbia's booming tourism sector, attracting hikers, back-country skiers and all-round outdoor enthusiasts.
