The town of Riondel is located in the Kootenay Valley on the eastern shore of Kootenay Lake. Once a bustling mining town, today it is a small retirement village. Residents enjoy breathtaking views of the lake, the neighbouring mountains and the Kokanee Glacier. Recreational activities in the area include hiking and sport fishing, golfing, canoeing and kayaking.
